Much needed update during this outbreak of COVID-19.

Mahindra has introduced the updated BS6-compliant version of their ambulance, the Mahindra Supro
Ambulance. A compact van, the Supro Ambulance is available in two versions, LX and ZX, starting from
Rs 6.94 lakh, ex-showroom. The first batch of the Mahindra Supro Ambulance BS6 has already been
delivered to the Government of Maharashtra and will cater to the emergency situations cropping up in
the state due to the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19.

The company wishes to contribute as much as possible in the fight against Coronavirus. Veejay Nakra,
CEO, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “As a caring and responsible corporate citizen,
Mahindra & Mahindra wants to enable people to rise by driving positive change in their lives. The launch
of the Supro Ambulance to support medical caretakers to move people safely and in time is a clear
testimony of this philosophy. This is one more step by Mahindra & Mahindra to fight the pandemic, in
addition to the manufacturing of face shields, ventilators, and sanitizers.”

He further added that the company is delighted to partner with the Government of Maharashtra in their
efforts to fight the ongoing pandemic. “The first batch of 12 vehicles have been produced in record time
and delivered to them already. Several other government organizations, NGOs and corporates have also
shown an active interest in procuring the Supro ambulance. Hence we are quickly ramping up the capacity
to add this growing demand. This is the most affordable solution fitted with all necessary equipment and
complying with all norms,” he added.

The Supro Ambulance BS6 features all the equipment required by medical personnel while ferrying
patients. This includes oxygen cylinders, a foldable stretcher cum trolley, internal lighting, a fire
extinguisher, fire-resistant interior, and AIS-125 certified exterior decals with siren as well as a beacon
light. The vehicle is available with a standard two-year/60,000 warranty and UDAY program members
will also get life insurance worth Rs 10 lakh along with other perks. Despite the ongoing pandemic,
Mahindra dealers will be readily available for any maintenance of these vehicles.

The Supro Ambulance BS6 is powered by the new BS6-compliant 909cc diesel engine generating 48PS of
power. In order to ferry one patient with one attendant and medical staff, the Supro BS6 is an ideal fit
for the congested traffic of metropolitan cities. This vehicle is also a good option to ferry patients

compared to larger ambulances which need more space to move around thus taking more time to reach
a hospital and where a patient’s life is dependent on the least amount of time taken for her/him to be
ferried.
