Maruti Suzuki launched new Dzire at Rs 5.89 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base manual variant. While the top AMT variant is priced at Rs 8.80 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). 2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire has something new to offer both mechanically and cosmetically. The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is Rs 6,000 to Rs 22,000 pricier than the outgoing model.
2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire comes with a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder K12C DualJet petrol engine, which is also available with the Baleno. This new engine produces 90hp, which is 7hp more than the previous. The DualJet engine equipped Dzire is not being offered with Maruti’s SHVS mild-hybrid system to keep it affordable. The engine gets idle start-stop tech, which will help maximise economy. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and an automated manual transmission (AMT), with the latter being offered with the K12C DualJet engine for the first time. Fuel efficiency for the new Dzire is rated at 23.26 kmpl for the manual version and 24.12 kmpl for the AMT version.
The overall cosmetic is the same as before, but we can note the change coming in the form of the new grille design up front. There is a new front bumper and new fog light. In the cabin, the dashboard layout remains unchanged though 2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire features Maruti Suzuki’s new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Additionally, there’s new dual-tone upholstery and faux wood trim, and Maruti Suzuki has also included auto-folding ORVMs, a colour TFT screen for the MID and cruise control. AMT variants of the Dzire facelift get additional safety in the form of Electronic Stability Programme and Hill Hold Assist offered as standard.
